EASY PATCHWORK CUSHION WORKSHOP suitable for beginners.
Thursday 25 January 2018 9.30 - 12.30
*** This is a small group work shop so you will get lots of quality time with Alison***
This workshop involves making a simple patchwork cushion using squares of fabric and how to make envelope back opening. Bring along your favourite scraps and mix them up to make your own unique cushion. Don't worry - If you don't have any scraps Alison will be bringing along some from her stash that you are welcome to dip into. Alternatively you can buy patchwork bundles from Hobbycraft and other fabric shops in the area. The material for the back will be provided.

More about your course instructor:
I'm Alison Burleigh and have a passion for textiles and craft - sewing, patchwork, quilting and crochet are some of my favourites. Through experimenting and using different techniques as a teenager I made and designed a lot of my own clothes. I have studied Creative Embroidery with City in Guilds. A few years ago I was selected and sponsored to go on a 3 week textile tour of Peru taking part in workshops taught by the local people. This trip inspired me to set up a craft club with a friend teaching workshops. Recently I have been enjoying taking vintage fabrics and embroideries and turning them into something new.
