Another talented crafter (although this is just one of her many, many skills), Maz Pennington is joining us @More of the Good Stuff to share with you the art of Felting.
Thought to be the oldest of all the fabrics - in fact, so ancient is it that it’s thought to have been first produced by accident – it’s incredibly easy to learn the basic technique, and after that, the world of wool is your oyster.
At this three-hour daytime course, Maz will teach you the basic techniques of needle-felting, and you will come away with a gorgeous little Tomte.
Not familiar with these little Scandinavian figures? Tomte (or Tonttu or Nisse, depending on whereabouts in Scandinavia they originate) are traditionally, “dear little relatives”, who guard the home and family, and bring presents on Christmas day.
They are super cute and will grace any Christmas scene. Come and have a go at this fun, festive workshop and take one of your very own home with you.
